SOME DATA ON WATER PRODUCTION FACILITIES IN THE CITY OF YAOUNDE
The demand for water in Yaoundé is expected to reach approximately 486,895 m3 by 2035. Drinking water for the city is currently produced by three production sectors:
– The MEFOU production sector with a nominal capacity of 50,000 m3/day
– The AKOMNYADA production sector with a nominal capacity of 190,000 m3/day
– The BATCHENGA (PAEPYS) production sector with a nominal capacity of 300,000 m3/day
These three facilities are more than sufficient to meet the water demand of Yaoundé beyond 2035.
